We are a team of Christians grounded in the Bible and its core message: salvation by grace through faith. We embrace the Apostle Paul’s exhortation: “Take every thought captive to obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Our team
Eric Kayayan
Eric Kayayan is a Reformed pastor born and raised in France who first served in the Reformed Churches in South Africa, where he studied theology. As the leader of the organization Reformed Faith and Life (“Foi et Vie Réformées” in French), he continues the work begun by his parents in the 1960s, building on the same foundations and with the same conviction, while adapting it to new forms of communication. Author of several books and articles, he specializes in the study of the writings of the Reformer John Calvin.
Jacky Barbier
Jacky Barbier is an IT project manager. Married to Natalie and the father of a teenager, he has been actively involved in serving the Church and Christian education for many years. He serves as president of the “Foi et Vie Réformées,” ensuring that the resources it produces remain faithful to its vision and mission.
For the past four years, he has also served as chairman of the board of La Nouvelle Alliance (The New Covenant), which operates a Protestant private school in Aix-en-Provence (South of France). He works to develop and promote Christian education.
Natalie Barbier
Natalie Barbier was born in the United States. She studied Spanish in 2002, then pursued theological studies in Argentina from 2002 to 2006, beginning her journey of faith during that time. In 2012, she attended a language school in Quebec to learn French in preparation for her ministry in the Church in France, where she settled in 2013 to serve the Lord. Married to Jacky Barbier since 2017, she has a passion for music, theology, and languages.
Arthur Laisis
Arthur Laisis is a linguist and teacher. A theology student at the Jean Calvin Faculty of theology in Aix-en-Provence, he serves as a lector in the Evangelical Reformed Churches of Lithuania. His main areas of interest are ecclesiology, Christology, and the history of the Reformation in continental Europe. Since 2023, Arthur has served as secretary of Foi et Vie Réformées.
Laurent Quinton
Laurent Quinton is married and the father of two daughters. He has been running the blog Refuge Protestant for many years, through which he shares content that helps people discover and promote the richness of the Reformed faith and theology. His goal is to nurture a love for Scripture and the comfort of Christian hope, as well as the faithfulness of an ordinary Christian life shaped by the Bible and confessional theology. He manages the Foi et Vie Réformées social media accounts and publicizes various Reformed events—in addition to his work on Refuge Protestant.
Vincent Collet
Vincent Collet is a missionary with TransWorldRadio in Canada. Recognizing the importance of media in spreading the Gospel, he collaborates with Éditions La Rochelle as a translator and works on various media content production projects with TWR. He served for several years at a Christian radio station in Lyon and now lives in Canada. His motivation: to use the media to spread Reformed faith and thought throughout the French-speaking world.
Juliette Kayayan
A certified teacher and communications consultant for Foi et Vie Réformées, she actively supports the work of her father, Eric Kayayan. She is passionate about communicating the Gospel.

Our Vision
Reformed Faith & Life
- To highlight the destructive nature of contemporary idols and ideologies that oppose the kingship of Christ, the only Savior and Mediator between God and humankind (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
- Proclaim the coming of the Kingdom of God according to His eternal plan, against all odds (Isaiah 24–27).
- Call unbelievers to repentance and faith, and believers to a renewed life under the guidance of the Holy Spirit in obedience to their Lord and Savior.
- To strengthen the faith of Christian communities through a comprehensive and intertextual understanding of the Bible, which is the perfect and sufficient divine revelation concerning faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
What We Do
Through articles on our website, posts on our social media platforms, podcasts, videos, books and printed articles, in-person and online seminars, as well as camps offering training for young and old alike, we address current theological, social and cultural issues. Whenever necessary, we use this biblical foundation to challenge contemporary ideologies that stifle the very freedom they claim to promote. We are active on YouTube, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, X, Ausha, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. We also provide radio programs in French across three continents (Europe, the Americas, and Africa).
Our Identity
The Origin of Our Logo is the Symbolism of the Huguenot Cross
The logo of Foi et Vie Réformées is a unique design inspired by the Huguenot cross, which has been well known in European Protestantism for more than three centuries. For those unfamiliar with the symbolism of this cross, here is some background: it originated during the persecution of the Reformed—evangelical Protestants—by French monarchs.
Originally, this cross featured not a dove—a symbolic representation of the Holy Spirit—but a tear, symbolizing persecuted Christians. It is also sometimes interpreted as the tongues of fire that descended upon the disciples gathered at Pentecost, as described in Acts chapter 2.
The Huguenot cross was adopted by French Protestants toward the end of the 17th century as a sign of resistance, when King Louis XIV forbade them from wearing any distinctive symbols. The central shape of the cross is that of the Order of the Holy Spirit, similar to the Order of St. John, which, at the time, could not be interpreted as a sign of hostility toward the French monarchy.
The same is true of the four fleurs-de-lis, which symbolize the French monarchy but can also be interpreted as the crown of thorns worn by Jesus Christ during his Passion. The four hearts emerging from the intertwining fleurs-de-lis and the central cross represent the four Gospels of the New Testament.
The Holy Spirit descending in the form of a dove confirms and brings to fulfillment the perfect work of Christ accomplished on the Cross of Golgotha.
